Becky is the Managing Director of Aurea Financial Planning and as such is responsible for the Strategic Direction of the business.

 

As a Certified Financial Planner, Becky Specialises in providing comprehensive financial planning for both our corporate and individual clients.  Becky’s role is to establish a client’s aims for the present and the future, by discussing lifestyle and aspirations and helping to create a plan to help them achieve these aims.  This is one of the most important, and overlooked, stages of Financial Planning.  She works closely with Veena in modelling scenarios for our clients.

She is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and a Chartered Wealth Manager.

 

Becky is a past President of the Institute of Financial Planning having been on the board of Directors since 2007 and oversaw its merger with the CISI during that time. She now has a place on the Board of Directors at the CISI and is involved in the continuing development of Financial Planning in the UK. This is a role that she sees as being very important to promote the benefits of Holistic planning and lifetime cashflow planning, alongside the role of the Certified Financial Planner license as a benchmark for quality Financial Planning and advice.  She has also previously been the UK member on the international council of the Financial Planning Standards Board.

 

Becky is married to Carl and they have a collection of animals to keep them busy in their spare time! She is a passionate about the environment, a competitive cyclist and dabbles in the odd run.

Veena Patel

Senior Paraplanner

Veena is the Senior Paraplanner with Aurea Financial Planning, specialising in scenario planning. This involves the construction of lifetime cashflow forecasts to create a financial model or “lifetime plan” for our clients. She will then create various scenarios to show the effect that planning can have on the overall picture, whether this is to create financial independence, or to minimise estate tax. Veena is passionate about using cashflow forecasting and scenario planning to help clients achieve their goals, aspirations and dreams.

 

Highly technical, Veena enjoys balancing the cashflow through the use of clever strategies within investment portfolio construction or gifting strategies for generational wealth transfer.

Veena is also a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager and along with Becky is capable of dealing with highly complex financial situations.

 

Veena is married with two children who keep her very busy! She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and keeping fit.

Sukhi Dhamrait

Trainee Paraplanner

Sukhi is working with Veena, with input into the annual reviews as well as constructing the portfolio reviews.  Sukhi has a keen interest in investment portfolios and performance charting.  As well as putting together the reviews, Sukhi will be constructing the behind the scenes management of the portfolios, managing the investment process. He is very experienced in this role and will help our clients with the practicalities of understanding their investments.

 

He graduated with a degree in Economics and Finance in 2012, then joining a respected Financial Planner in Cambridge as an administrator. He joined us to further his career by moving to a Paraplanning role and is progressing towards his Financial Planning qualifications as well as taking on a role with more technical requirements and responsibility. Sukhi has gained a wide range of experience both through his university degree and through his work and can help answer client queries in many areas. He is keen to learn new skills and knowledge and is always willing to help others.

Sukhi is a friendly and outgoing individual who has lived in Peterborough his entire life. Like many young men, he is a passionate football fan, especially for his favourite football team – Manchester United! In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing sports and spending time with his friends and family.

Joely Sells

Customer Relationship Manager

Joely is the first point of contact for our clients.  Her role is to keep you happy!  Any queries that you may have, ask Joely and she will answer where she can, or find out for you if she can’t straight away!

Joely also looks after the servicing of our corporate clients and will ensure that these are kept running smoothly for you.

All of our staff are actively encouraged to take financial planning qualifications, regardless of whether they wish to advise clients directly or not.  Joely would like to progress and is keen to further her education so is currently studying towards a diploma.

 

Joely is easy going, friendly and talkative. She’s a hardworking perfectionist who loves nothing more than to spend her free time socialising with friends and family or curling up on the sofa with a good movie. Joely is a creative girly girl who enjoys shopping and painting her nails as well as having cuddles with her pets, daschund Arthur and rabbit Merlin. She is eager to learn and always happy to help so feel free to call her up and have a chat if you’ve got any queries.

Helen Woolgar-Bowles

Helen is the Finance Director of Aurea Financial planning and responsible for looking after the company’s finances and management information and accounts.

 

Helen is also responsible for overseeing the compliance for the company on a day to day basis.  Part of this role is to ensure that we all follow procedures laid out by our regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority.  This is for the protection of our clients and to ensure that the best possible advice is provided.

Helen is guided by a specialist compliance consultancy company who ensure that we remain up to date and competent in our service.

 

When home, Helen loves nothing more than cuddling up on the sofa with Nathan, her 18 year young cat and watching and feeding the many visitors to her garden, in the way of hedgehogs, squirrels, a vast variety of birds and two stray cats that have adopted her! Helen enjoys being out in nature with her partner, walking and window shopping for dogs! She loves the cinema, finding new music and meeting up with friends and family.
